The organizations below made the creation of the Khaled Bakrawi Center possible and we are grateful for their support.
Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans
The Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA) is a research, public policy, and community organizing hub dedicated to advancing the full economic, social, & civic inclusion of refugees based in City Heights. Together, we work to serve our communities across City Heights and El Cajon through strategic analysis of the overlaps in social needs, political vulnerability, and aspirations for self-sufficiency. We are eager to build an autonomous, safe, and empowered tomorrow together.
The California Endowment
The California Endowment’s mission is to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians. We are eternally grateful for the faith instilled in us by California Endowment. Their trust of our vision thus far has been empowering and inspiring. Their support for us has given us the spark we needed to begin building with community in sustainable ways.
The Islah Reparations Project
Islah is a critical organization geared towards creating space for those complicit in doing structural harm (specifically war, occupation, and displacement) to take attempt at taking accountability for what they have done through offering resources to lay down foundations toward repair of communities impacted by these types of violences. The Khaled Bakrawi Center is thankful to be able to name Islah as a partner.
